Matreous
Matreous was one of the foremost experts on curses in the northern Aurora region. He was known for frequenting Candlekeep, and for assisting those in need of curse help in exchange for an often-dangerous favor.

Dormian Mysteries
Upon entering Fistandia's Mansion, the heroes stumbled upon a surprised Matreous holding a figurine of an imp. After exchanging some words, Matreous agreed to help the party with their curse-stricken town in exchange for them exploring the mansion. He confidently stated that he could keep the extradimensional portal open from the other side, but upon leaving the mansion Matreous shrieked and the portal closed.[1]
After successfully escaping from Fistandia's Mansion, Lyn and Stefon found Matreous dead on the ground. An imp attacked them shortly thereafter.[2]
