Vurnor Leng is the mayor of Oakhurst. In Sleeping Giants, he played an important role in bringing the Risen together to work as a team when he hired them to investigate the Durbuluk Tribe nearby.

Upon learning of the unsavory relationship between Okahurst and the Durbuluk, Jordan Steingard instructed Vurnor to stop all dealings with the goblins immediately or face the wrath of Skyhammer.[1]
After clearing out the Sunless Citadel, the party received their payment from Vurnor.[2]
Vurnor was alive and well at the end of Sleeping Giants. He was still in charge of Oakhurst, which was thriving like it never had before thanks to the story of the Risen starting there.[3]
