The Sunless Citadel is a ruin from a previous civilization, which was renovated into Fort Nile. It is the location of the Gulthias Tree and is sometimes referred to as "The First Sighting" because it is where Geurion Nikodemus first studied Arcane Funneling. Before the events of Sleeping Giants, it was inhabited by rival factions of Kobolds and Goblins. The Risen destroyed the Goblin faction and befriended the Kobolds, who remain faithful to the Red Empire today.
